ACTi KCM-3211 Overview

As a fixed-dome camera, the KCM-3211 holds a single position as it records the surveillance area. Unlike PTZ dome cameras, which can pan and tilt in such a way that allows people in the area to know where the camera is filming, the KCM-3211 features an opaque dome that makes it difficult to determine what the camera is viewing. With its 8 fps at 2032 x 1920 resolution, its ability to develop up to 4 cropped regions as independent channels, and its two-way audio capabilities, the KCM-3211 creates quality recordings while also allowing the user to communicate with individuals located in the surveillance area.

Featuring day and night recording capabilities, the KCM-3211 utilizes a mechanical IR cut filter in order to achieve color recordings in light levels as low as 0.1 lux at F1.4 and black and white recordings in light as low as 0.05 lux at F1.4. With its built-in f33-12 mm/F1.4 Megapixel P-Iris zoom lens, the KCM-3211 is able to obtain an optical zoom of up to 3.6x, making it possible to obtain a more detailed recording when necessary.

With its Power over Ethernet, or PoE, capabilities and its video detection system, the KCM-3211 surveillance camera can be used in virtually any indoor location where surveillance is necessary. Weighing just 1.36 pounds, the KCM-3211 can be easily mounted on a wall or ceiling or it can be placed in corner, on a pole or hung as a pendant camera. Capable of operating in temperatures ranging from 14 °F to 122 °F and in humidity levels ranging from 10% to 85% relative humidity, the KCM-3211 can handle nearly any environment where a surveillance camera is necessary.
