ACTi KCM-5311E Overview

The KCM-5311E is the “Extreme” version of the KCM-5311 box camera. While the KCM-5311 and the KCM-5311E offer many of the same features, the KCM-5311E takes the camera’s capabilities to the next level. Where the KCM-5311 is capable of operating in temperatures ranging from 14 °F to 122 °F, the KCM-5311E can operate in an impressive temperature range of -22°F to 122°F. The KCM-5311E also features a weatherproof IP66-rated casing and is capable of operating in humidity levels ranging from 10% to 85% relative humidity, making it an excellent option for virtually any indoor or outdoor setting.

Able to record in both day and night situations, the KCM-5311E features a mechanical IR cut filter capable of achieving color recording in light as little as 0.1 lux at F1.65. The KCM-5311E, which has an IR sensitively range of 700 to 1100 nm, can also record black and white images in lighting as little as 0 lux. With its built-in f3.5-122.5 mm/F1.65 Megapixel DC iris zoom lens capable of achieving up to a 35x optical zoom and its resolution of 15 frames per second at 1920 x 1080, the KCM-5311E can detect even the finest details from quite the distance away.

Offering Power over Ethernet, or PoE, technology and weighing just 2.98 pounds, the KCM-5311 can be mounted and used in just about any areas where surveillance is needed, including in locations where power may otherwise be difficult or even impossible to obtain. With its two-way audio and the option to choose between H.264, MPEG-4SP and MJPEG compressions with dual streaming capabilities, the KCM-5311E can be used to suit virtually any setting or situation.
