The AXIS 214 (0246-004) PTZ network camera is designed with small and mid-sized businesses in mind. It is ideal for use in supermarkets, stores and other areas where the operator needs the ability to see a wide image of the area but where the ability to pan, tilt and focus the camera is vital to providing proper security. The AXIS 214 PTZ network camera is able to perform all of these functions with the use of a joystick, providing control of the camera that makes moving the focus of the image very fast and easy.
The AXIS 214 PTZ network camera is also provided with an 18x optical zoom lens. This lens focuses in automatically and allows very close up images of distant scenes. The camera is also capable of providing high-quality images in low lighting conditions, making it easy to follow the action when a subject strays into a darker area of the image. If someone needs to be contacted immediately in the surveillance area, the camera provides two-way audio support that allows this.
The AXIS 214 PTZ network camera also boasts powerful networking features. It uses a dual codec that employs but MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG image capture, ensuring high-quality images with modest network bandwidth consumption. Provided with Quality of Service (QoS) support, this camera can be added to networks with advanced bandwidth controls in place.
