AXIS 233D Overview

The AXIS 233D network dome camera is designed for high-security environments. Razor-sharp images, powerful zoom features and the ability to pan a full 360 degrees make this ideal for environments such as banks, casinos and parking lots. The zoom features on the AXIS 233D network dome camera can allow a license plate to be read at over 500 feet. The camera can also track motion automatically, allowing it to follow individuals or vehicles when needed. The panning features automatically correct for inversion when following a vehicle or person moving under the camera.
The AXIS 233D network dome camera can pan very quickly, being able to track 450 degrees in one second. At slow speeds, it allows for very precise tracking, moving only .05 degrees every second. In environments where very close details need to be captured, the camera can zoom in with excellent clarity. This camera captures at 35 frames per second. It makes use of two codecs, MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG, to compress images. These formats can be streamed simultaneously from the device.
The AXIS 233D network dome camera also supports advanced networking features. With support for Quality of Service (QoS), IEEE 802.1x authentication and HTTPs encryption, it is ready for very sophisticated networks. The camera also includes an Application Programing Interface, allowing custom software integration. The camera supports both IPv4 and IPv6.
