AXIS P8514 Overview

The Axis P8514 covert indoor surveillance camera is designed for monitoring at eye-level near entrances, exits, and other building pinch points. The unique pole mount available in while, black, and chrome hides the camera’s pinhole viewer making it inconspicuous to passers-by in retail stores, banks, and high-security buildings such as hospitals where clear face-level pictures and video are vital. The Axis P8514’s unusual mount and discreet design is new to the video surveillance market ; not only does this make the camera useful in terms of being unobtrusive in high-traffic areas but it’s disguise also helps prevent vandalism of the camera.

Ideally placed at a level of 160 cm, or 5.2 feet, the Axis P8514 camera is easily installed at eye level where it captures sharp images that are ideal for identification. Capable of providing multiple H.264 video streams, the Axis P8514 offers excellent video quality in HDTV 720p at full frame rate. The camera is also capable of supporting 1 Megapixel and HDTV 720p in both MJPEG and H.264 streams. With its Power over Ethernet, or PoE, technology, the Axis P8514 surveillance camera can be operated from a remote location where power may otherwise be unavailable. The camera also comes complete with a pre-mounted Ethernet cable, thereby making the installation process even easier. With its advanced security and network management features, which include HTTPS encryption with preserved performance, Quality of Service and IPv6, the Axis P8514 offers secure transmission of data.
