AXIS Q6035 (0444-004) PTZ Dome Network Camera Overview

The AXIS Q6035 (0444-004) PTZ dome network camera provides both wide-area coverage and the capability to zoom in to great detail on a scene. The camera has an IP52-rated housing, ensuring that dust and dripping water do not damage the device. This makes the AXIS Q6035 PTZ dome network camera ideal for use in warehouses, casinos, airports, sports venues and other locations where a large area needs to be monitored but where there is a need to zoom in on the action, as well. The high resolution together with 20x optical zoom with autofocus results in exception zoomed-in details. AXIS Q6035/-E provides a fast pan/tilt speed of 450° per second, enabling the camera to get to a different viewing position very quickly. The cameras support multiple H.264 and Motion JPEG video streams. H.264 greatly optimizes bandwidth and storage without compromising image quality. The HDTV 1080p complies with the SMPTE 274M standard regarding a 1920x1080 pixel resolution (twice the resolution of HDTV 720p), full frame rate at 25/30 frames per second, HDTV color fidelity and a 16:9 format. AXIS Q6035 also supports 50/60 frames per second in HDTV 720p, ideal for applications that require the capture of quick movements and smoother video. Due to the HDTV 1080p resolution, the camera’s 20x optical zoom with autofocus provides extremely detailed zoomed-in views that are comparable to a 4CIF-resolution camera with more than twice the optical zoom. AXIS Q6035 supports day/night functionality for clear video even in low light conditions, and wide dynamic range for better visibility of objects in dark and light areas of a scene. With Active Gatekeeper, the camera can automatically move to a preset position upon motion detection in a pre-defined area, and track the detected object. The camera also enables easy setup of an automatic tour using the tour recording functionality, which enables a device such as a joystick to be used to record an operator’s pan/tilt/zoom movements and length of time spent at each point of interest. The tour can then be activated at a touch of a button or at a scheduled time. Support for Power over Ethernet Plus (High PoE) simplifies installation since only one cable is required for power, video and PTZ controls. The cameras are also designed with easy bayonet mounting to Axis’ standard mounting accessories for ceiling, wall, pole or corner installations. Mounting brackets for hard and soft ceilings are included with the indoor AXIS Q6035. Intelligent video functions such as video motion detection, audio detection and applications supported by AXIS Camera Application Platform can be used as alarm triggers to activate recording and send notifications via e-mail, HTTP and TCP. When an optional multi-connector cable is used, the indoor AXIS Q6035 enables users to remotely listen in and communicate with, for example, intruders. The cable also allows the indoor camera to connect to external devices such as sensors and relays to, for example, turn on lights or lock doors when an alarm is triggered.
