Vivotek FD8134V Overview

The Vivotek FD8134V is a robust, vandal proof, fixed dome network camera that offers megapixel imaging day and night. Encased in an IP66 rated housing, the FD8134V can withstand the elements and abuse it may encounter in almost any indoor or outdoor installation. Despite its robust construction, the FD8134V is not unwieldy, but is compact in form, allowing it to remain unobtrusive in many installations. Adding to the vandal proofing measures, the Vivotek FD8134V also includes tamper detection. If there is an attempt to block, redirect, paint, or otherwise disable the camera, the FD8134V can take appropriate action, even sending you an alert email. Within its housing, the FD8134V provides a host of features that make it an ideal indoor or outdoor security solution. The 1 Megapixel 1/4" CMOS sensor can capture images at a resolution 1200x800 and stream video at up to 30fps. Depending on your network configuration and your viewing requirements, you can choose between H.264, MPEG-4, and MJPEG video compression. The FD8134V even allows you multiple streams in different formats and configurations. The FD8134V provides night vision capabilities, incorporating IR illuminators that can flood your surveillance area with invisible Infrared light at a distance of up to 10 meters. You can continue to monitor with clear, detailed black and white imaging even in complete darkness, without security threats even being aware that you have a clear view of them. The FD8134V makes use of a removable IR-cut filter. During daytime hours, naturally occurring ambient Infrared light can cause some night-vision cameras to produce incorrectly colored images. The IR-cut filter on the FD8134V engages in the daytime, ensuring that you have true color in daylight conditions. The FD8134 includes PoE support, providing convenient one-wire installation if need be. Vivotek's 3-axis mechanical design makes for simplified installation whether you choose wall or ceiling mount. An on-board MicroSD/SDHC card slot allows you to add a card for onboard storage, ensuring you don't lose surveillance footage even if your network suffers a temporary outage.
