Vivotek IP7160 Overview
The VIVOTEK IP7160 network camera is provided with a host of features that make it suitable for high-security locations. The camera records at very high resolutions, providing enough data to make use of video content analysis. It is also provided with intelligent software that detects attempts to vandalize the device. This camera saves network bandwidth by using industry-standard compression, which preserves video quality while reducing the size of the data. The camera is also capable of being mounted very easily, reducing installation costs. The VIVOTEK IP7160 network camera has a 2-megapixel sensor. This provides crisp images that are suitable for locations where detailed video has to be captured. The camera has a wide field of coverage, allowing it to take in large areas of a room. The VIVOTEK IP7160 is also provided with its own onboard external storage slot and accepts SD/SDHC cards. This camera can use this storage to prevent data loss during network outages. The camera is provided with technology that reduces the frame rate during times of inactivity and increases it when there is activity in front of the camera. The VIVOTEK IP7160 network camera can be powered directly from its Ethernet connection. This allows the camera to be installed without the need to provide another source of electricity other than the network. The camera will detect attempts to redirect the field of view, cover the lens or spray paint the lens. The camera is also provided with two-way audio capability.
